Due to the untimely death of Senator Robert Schuler and his funeral on Tuesday, June 23, the Advocacy Day Statehouse event has been changed to Thursday, June 25 – Statehouse, Columbus, Ohio, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
STATEHOUSE EVENT TO SUPPORT MEDICAID FUNDING FOR SKILLED NURSING CARE

Skilled Nursing Care Coalition members – AOPHA, the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes, Inc. and the Ohio Health Care Association – are organizing an Advocacy Day to urge support for fair Medicaid funding for skilled nursing care. We need your support! The Advocacy Day will be held Thursday, June 25th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Statehouse in Columbus. We need the participation of our member facilities in asking employees and family members to play a part in this event. Participants will hear from Ohio legislative leaders and others during the event.
We ask that each participating employee or family member “sponsor” a resident from the facility, and carry a small picture of the resident. Enclosed is a release authorizing the use of the individuals’ names and images. Please complete a release for each resident, and include a copy in the resident’s permanent file.
Please download the forms below, fill them out, and either return them to your Association as directed on the page or bring them with you to the Statehouse on Tuesday.
